Current Priorities

Issue

Tackling retail crime in Willenhall Town Centre and across the wider Willenhall area.

Action

We have been actively targeting shoplifters in Willenhall Town Centre and across the area. We have been targeting our patrols in the town centre and areas where these offences are occurring as well as working with local shops to identify offenders and provide appropriate crime prevention advice.

Issue

Tackling anti-social behaviour across Willenhall Town Centre.

Action

We have been carrying out patrols regularly in the areas where we are aware of reports of ASB. We have also been joined by Walsall Council Enforcement Officers and Councillor Cheema, and together we have been engaging with members of the community and businesses. There has been a reduction in the ASB and the amount of calls to service. A litter pick took place on 24/03/25 and together with volunteers we collected 84 bags of rubbish.

Issue

Community agreed Priority: Issues of drug dealing in the following areas: New Hall Street, Lister Street, Stafford Street Walkway, Bell Alley Villers Street, and Stroud Avenue.

Action

Willenhall Officers are committed to tackling all aspects of illegal drug activity in our communities.
We have been actively patrolling these areas and wil continue to do so.

Issue

Community agreed Priority: issues with off road bikes around Willenhall Greenway, Stringes Lane, Willenhall Memorial Park.

Action

The above locations and other locations that are having issues with off road bikes will be added to the next OP Adhesion operation that will be taking place in the Walsall borough.
Officers have been patrolling these locations and gathering information to aid the operation. We have seen an increase in off road bikes and we will continue to patrol and monitor these areas.
