Drug dealing issues (Policing Priority)

This newly agreed priority from our PACT (Police and communities together) meeting has already seen a positive result in which; local neighbourhood officers had a foot chase with a male which resulted in the male being searched and quantity of class A and class B drugs being found, the male was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs. The male has since been bailed whilst our enquires continue.

We will continue our patrols in areas we believe these issues are taking place.

Speeding and parking around our schools

Officers conducted multiple school visits regarding on-going issues around parking, officers had to move on multiple vehicles at different schools in the area who were parked causing an obstruction and making it more dangerous and difficult for children to cross the road.

We will be patrolling schools at opening and closing times regularly to ensure children can walk to and from school safely.

Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB). Specifically incidents of illegal use of motorbikes and electric bikes.

Officers responded to multiple calls regarding off-road bikes, as well as being informed by residents during the PACT meeting of other locations this issue is taking place that hadn’t been previously reported that will be included in our patrols specifically regarding this issue.

Officers seized an electric bike being rode on Walsall Road and reported rider for related driving offences.

We will be continuing to deal with those riding illegally used vehicles on our roads and green areas and ask that the public continue to report these instances to us so we can respond effectively.
