Under 25 serious youth violence

There are two large colleges of further education within the confines of the town centre.

High visibility patrols have been effectively used and this will continue. Patrolling hours have been set to meet demand and peak times.

ASB (street drinking / aggressive begging & off road bikes)

Over the past few weeks the team has continued to focus on this priority, of note a main offender for street drinking and ASB has been arrested again and recalled to prison following his continued ASB and breach of CBO.

The team continue to work with local BID ambassadors and local EPO's from Sandwell Council to target reports of ASB and street drinking.

As always I will encourage local members of our community to report any issues or concerns via 101, web chat or 999 in an emergency.

Business Crime

The team will continue to focus on preventing and positively detecting retail and business crime.

Patrol hours will be set to fit with the hours of business that the majority of the retail premises open.

Over the past few weeks the team have made a number of positive arrests in relation to shop theft and the team are proactively trying to apprehend outstanding shop theft suspects.

The team have recently carried out an operation in the town centre where a shop theft suspect was arrested for off force theft offences.
