Issue
Reducing Shop crime in Acocks Green village
Action
Taking positive action with proactive arrests & charging of known shoplifting offenders and serving of banning notices using social media to inform the community of the action taken
A number of shoplifters have been identified and charged, we have been successful in getting custodial sentences for some of our known prolific offenders. This work continues with regular patrols especially in the village where we will arrest and deal appropriately with shoplifters.
There are plans to build a case to bring back the BID to Acocks Green, however this is still a work in progress.

Anti-social behaviour Fox Hollies Park
Action
Use of Community Protection Notices and Community Protection warnings to reduce anti-social behaviour
Regular off road policing activity to tackle use of Quad and bikes in the open parkland in Fox Hollies park, partnership working with parks and council to develop further ways of keeping the bikes out of parkland
ASB awareness day working in partnership with CSP, Midland Housing, BCC Housing, Fire service. This was an all out day including patrols around Fox Hollies and the surrounding roads, completing house enquiries and engaging with the public on various issues and concerns in the area.

Reduce youth offending across the Acocks Green area
Action
Engagement within Local Schools working with teachers to engage and inform pupils of how the Police can help them and also with older year groups how to keep themselves safe and aware of their surroundings when out on their own.
Engagement with staff and residents at our Childrens care holes where we have provided presentations and positive engagement in order to break down perceived barriers and ensure they understand the role of the Police.
Regular foot patrols in the village engaging with the public and conducting proportionate Stop and Searches to reduce knife crime
