Operated by: Thames Valley Police
https://www.thamesvalley.police.ukEvery neighbourhood in Thames Valley has a dedicated Neighbourhood Policing team.
Neighbourhood Policing teams can be contacted via 101, the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number. Always call 999 in an emergency.
Neighbourhood Policing teams…- Are led by senior police officers and include police community support officers (PCSOs), often together with volunteer police officers, volunteers and partners.
- May serve one or several neighbourhoods.
- Work with local people and partners to identify, tackle and prevent local, low-level crime, anti-social behaviour, and any ongoing concerns.
- Provide you with a visible, accessible and accountable police service and aim to make your neighbourhood safer.
- Have been present in every Thames Valley neighbourhood since 1 April 2008.
- Focus all of their efforts on their dedicated neighbourhoods, building relationships with local people.
- Needs you to tell us about the issues that concern you in your area.
- Has transformed policing at a local level, to meet the needs of local communities.
- Is known as ‘Safer Neighbourhoods’ in Milton Keynes.
From the start of 2010, Thames Valley Police extended its neighbourhood consultation by introducing a wider range of publicised opportunities to meet neighbourhood teams.
We will provide open monthly meetings to allow the public to influence our priorities. These meetings will be branded as Have Your Say opportunities, and in many cases will be held in conjunction with partners.
Once local priorities have been identified, a broader ‘toolkit’ of problem-solving tactics is being made available to ensure crime and anti-social behaviour is tackled effectively.
Across the Thames Valley area, there are many successful Neighbourhood Action Groups which will continue to deliver local problem solving, but the introduction of Have Your Say meetings will allow neighbourhood teams to identify more quickly those specific local priorities that need attention.
Thames Valley Police views the introduction of Have Your Say meetings as a positive step in tackling issues that matter most to the public. I welcome your support and engagement in this endeavour.

Drug users and Dealers and ASB, notably the unlawful use of e-scooters and e-bikes, impacting on residents quality of life across a number of residential estate areas.
Action
Bracknell Central North team have actively been targeting areas identified to us by the local communities, these have included regular patrols in The Parks development to target ASB behaviour and use of e-scooter and e-bikes through the area. This has resulted in E-bikes being seized and a number of warnings issued. We have also had a number of positive outcomes in relation to use of cannabis.
A closure order extension has been granted and we continue to work with the Housing associations in targeting ASB and protecting vulnerable persons.
We have conducted ASB week where we have visited local schools and conducted workshops in relation to what ASB is and the effects ASB has on communities.
We have worked with partner agencies and specialist departments in combating Drugs around the area which has resulted in a number of arrests.

We have issued a number of warning letters to residential properties in relation to the use of cannabis. A male has been arrested for an Arson offence which he currently remains on bail for.
CPWs have been issued to repeat offenders who act in an anti-social way within the communities. Targeted operations are planned to deal with the use of illegal off road bikes around the Priestwood area.
We welcome PCSO Sharon Harvey to the team from 6th January 2025.
Issue
Retailers, residents and shoppers appear to be suffering from an increase in ASB, theft and other criminality in the town centre area,.
Action
Town centre patrols are conducted throughout the week and we have responded to incidents of ASB being reported within the town. The Op Purchase retail team continue to target shopliftings within the town centre and targeted petrol stations across Bracknell. The team have built networks with partners and retail outlets to encourage the reporting of shopliftings enabling the team to charge offenders. This has resulted in excess of 90 charges being secured against a number of prolific offenders since the formation of the Op Purchase team in October 2024, which is being run by Sgt Nathan Hollis who we welcomed to the team at the same time.
The town centre team also welcome PCSO Ben Hulme and PC Mark Bull to the team.
