Neighbourhood Policing teams…- Are led by senior police officers and include police community support officers (PCSOs), often together with volunteer police officers, volunteers and partners.
- May serve one or several neighbourhoods.
- Work with local people and partners to identify, tackle and prevent local, low-level crime, anti-social behaviour, and any ongoing concerns.
- Provide you with a visible, accessible and accountable police service and aim to make your neighbourhood safer.
- Have been present in every Thames Valley neighbourhood since 1 April 2008.
- Focus all of their efforts on their dedicated neighbourhoods, building relationships with local people.
- Needs you to tell us about the issues that concern you in your area.
- Has transformed policing at a local level, to meet the needs of local communities.
- Is known as ‘Safer Neighbourhoods’ in Milton Keynes.
From the start of 2010, Thames Valley Police extended its neighbourhood consultation by introducing a wider range of publicised opportunities to meet neighbourhood teams.
We will provide open monthly meetings to allow the public to influence our priorities. These meetings will be branded as Have Your Say opportunities, and in many cases will be held in conjunction with partners.
Once local priorities have been identified, a broader ‘toolkit’ of problem-solving tactics is being made available to ensure crime and anti-social behaviour is tackled effectively.
Across the Thames Valley area, there are many successful Neighbourhood Action Groups which will continue to deliver local problem solving, but the introduction of Have Your Say meetings will allow neighbourhood teams to identify more quickly those specific local priorities that need attention.
Thames Valley Police views the introduction of Have Your Say meetings as a positive step in tackling issues that matter most to the public. I welcome your support and engagement in this endeavour.

Current Priorities
Issue
ASB around the Wendover NHPT has been Highlighted by the community as a priority. Derived from the community survey , specifically Hampden park and red Kite Centre.
ASB In Wendover from 01/04/2024 -12/02/2025 showed there were 71 reported incidents for that period. Down from the previous year which recorded 84 incidences of ASB. This is a reduction in 15%. From January 2025 there were 7 incidences of ASB; 6 of which were community ASB.
Action
The neighbourhood team are conducting hi visibility patrols in and around both areas to deter and reduce incidents of ASB.
We have ongoing partnership working with parish councils and local residents and businesses to identify offenders and take robust action.
Review to be completed quarterly in conjunction with community survey to ascertain if issues are still persistent and a concern for the community. After this review figures will be published to compare to current reported incidents and to see if there is a reduction.

Issue
Burglary Dwellings around Wendover NHPT have been regarded as a priority by the community. This was highlighted from community survey completed by the public. Over the winter months we have seen an increase in burglaries around Aston Clinton and Stoke Mandeville with offenders conducting messy searches and stealing high powered vehicles. From 01/04/2024 -12/02/2025
Burglary statistics showed there were 23 reported domesticated burglaries for the period.
Burglaries will be recorded on a monthly basis and will be recorded against the previous month.
For January 2025 there were 7 recorded Burglaries
Action
To deter and reduce incidents we are conducting hi visibility patrols in target areas and. engaging with all individuals found to be in those areas without good reason. We are gathering intel to identify repeat offenders and working with local residents to gather evidence. We are holding monthly have your say events that are published via social media and TV alerts to give residents the opportunity to come along and raise concerns or get crime prevention advice.
Review to be completed quarterly in April, in conjunction with community survey to ascertain if issues are still persistent and and a concern for the community. Results will be published in further updates.

Issue
The Wendover NHPT have seen an increase of reports relating to vehicles speeding in excess of the road speed limit. The areas highlighted from the community and Parish Councils are as follows:
A413 Wendover ,Wendover Bypass ,South Street, Wendover , Worlds End Lane (Weston Turville)
Tring Road, Aston Clinton ,Aylesbury Road, Aston Clinton
Tring Hill, Aston Clinton
Action
Speed Surveys will be completed on a monthly basis for a period of 3 months. This is so relevant data can be gathered to ascertain which areas are of concern. Once four areas have been highlighted as a concern we will look to statistically record and compare figures month on month. Also communicating the results to the public and partnership agencies via social media and TV Alerts. Speed operations will then be conducted on the back of the survey results.
Hi Visibility patrols are also being conducted in target areas, to deter and reduce incidents.
