Current Priorities

Issue

Anti-social behaviour within South Shields Town Centre, the Foreshore and Sea Front

Action

We have been working with partner agencies and the community to help identify those who cause the most harm. Once identified, we have carried out home visits to ensure parents and guardians. We have then offered diversionary routes to help prevent any further anti-social behaviour.
long with our partners at Nexus and the Local Authority we continue to carryout hi-visibility reassurance patrols with extra patrols being carried out on a Friday and Saturday evening.

Issue

Targeting of priority individuals, locations and safeguarding the public.

Action

By intelligence-led policing, our aim is to target those who are causing most harm to the community whether this is linked to criminal activities, ASB or organised crime.

Issue

Anti-social Behaviour within Whiteleas and Biddick Hall area around Whiteleas Way and Galsworthy Road

Action

This area also forms part of our Operation Shield, where we conduct regular foot patrols which focus on engagement with the local community and businesses. Our patrols directly address any ongoing anti-social behaviour with any follow up enforcement carried out by the neighbourhood policing team in conjunction with our partner agencies.
