Issue
WHITBY & RYEDALE - There have been a series of thefts and burglary offences in the Whitby and Ryedale areas in which Quad Bikes in particular have been stolen.
Action
Op Alibi was launched in which officers and staff conduct high visibility patrols focusing on isolated rural areas. These patrols involve colleagues from Cleveland Police, Ministry of Defence Police and volunteers form the rural community (Op Eyeful). Our team are also present at Farmer’s markets, agricultural retailers and will be present at the upcoming village shows. Resources from our Specialist Operations team are being specifically tasked to the area which include; roads policing, operational support unit & rural task force.

RYEDALE - There have been reports of Anti-social behaviour in the northern Ryedale Towns
Action
Neighbourhood officers are conducting high visibility patrols of Pickering, Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside now and in the run up to summer. Young people will be engaged with and those hotpsot areas or concern will be part of patrol plans and visits.
Issue
WHITBY - There have been a number of reports of Anti-social behaviour committed by Adults within the Whitby Town area in particular around the Bus Station.
Action
Neighbourhood Officers are regularly conducting patrols of these areas working closely with the council and other partners in ensuring these area remain safe, clean and that those suspected of ASB and disorder are engaged with and dealt with robustly.
This incident has been referred into our Multi-Agency Problem Solving Meetings which are led by NYC Community Safety Hub who have already issued ASB warning letters to those involved in Bus Station related incidents.
Alongside Neighbourhood Officers officers Op Hotspot patrols are also taking place. Op Hotspot it’s the dedicated operation that puts police officers on the streets in the right place at the right time. It’s just one of our tactics to cut down on anti social behaviour and serious violence. It is funded by the Home Office aims to increase trust and confidence in policing and make people feel safer in the communities they live in.

CASTLETON, WHITBY - Ongoing issues within the community with regards to ASB involving a young child which is having an adverse impact on the community.
Action
This incident has been referred into our Multi-Agency Problem Solving Meetings which are led by NYC Community Safety Hub. Regular Op Ambience visits (multi- agency visits) are being held regularly.

Action
Neighbourhood Officers are regularly conducting patrols of these areas working closely with the council and other partners in ensuring these area remain safe, clean and that those suspected of ASB and disorder are engaged with and dealt with robustly.
We are currently at the initial stages of referring this incident into our Multi-Agency Problem Solving Meetings which are led by NYC Community Safety Hub which will follow more formal actions being progressed.
