Following a closure order and lots of work with the local housing associations issues have been resolved

Shop theft is an issue throughout the country, and Hambleton is not only suffering from theft by locals, but is also a target for travelling criminality.

Using both visible and plain clothed patrols, hotspots are being patrolled to deter and prevent theft. Targeted patrols are being undertaken using local intelligence and crime statistics.
We are targeting known offenders and using disruption tactics to prevent theft from occurring,

Op Heel

This operation has been created to target and reduce the number of quad bike thefts in our rural locations. Using a range of tactics to combat these types of incidents, officers will be utilising both visible and plain clothes patrols targeting the areas which have been identified by analysing crime statistics and building a local intelligence picture.

Targeted patrols are being conducted throughout evening shifts after dark utilising both plain clothes and a visible police presence. This is to deter criminality and to combat it. Particular attention is being paid to cross border criminality.

Easingwold – Memorial and Millfield Park
Bedale - Bedale Park/Town Centre

Dedicated NPT and Hotspot patrols to target those involved. Those identified are being referred to the Community Safety Hub for focused interventions to be put in place.

Drug Offences and Acquisitive Crime

Local known offenders and cross border offenders targeting the Hambleton area in relation to drug offences and acquisitive crime. These types of crimes cause local communities fear and unnecessary tensions.

To actively identify, build intelligence and target offenders and associates of crimes. Support local businesses and communities by high visibility targeted patrols, supporting victims and witnesses in the process
