Current Priorities

Issue

Concerns have been raised in regards to the ASB occurring in and around WINDSOR COURT. Due to these concerns we will focus on ASB and that linked to drugs in the vicinity of WINDSOR COURT, Gap Road.

Action

The team will be conducting targeted patrols in and around the block which will include a mixture of high visibility and plain clothed patrols. The team will stop and engage with any individuals believed to be involved in any ASB or drug use in the area. As well as engaging with individuals the team will utilise their stop and search powers were needed as well as arrest when deemed necessary.
The team will do all they can to deter individuals from committing crime and causing ASB and disrupt the criminal networks and drug deals and ASB individuals.

Issue

Over the increase of Theft of Motor Vehicles there were some roads/areas of the ward that suffered from repeated theft from motor vehicles occurring. The numbers have reduced across the ward but the team is focused on keeping the reduction down.

Action

The team will be conducting targeted patrols in around the above named roads as well as surrounding areas, this will include a mixture of high visibility and plain clothed patrols. Officers will visit the victims of vehicle crimes and will also be posting crime prevention advice and contact details for the team to surrounding properties. The team will also be sending out crime prevention advice via our email contacts.

Issue

Wimbledon Park SNT have unfortunately had a number of motor vehicles stolen over recent months, as much as this has fortunately reduced the team want to attempt to keep this number down. Not all of the stolen vehicles have been Hondas but a higher percentage have been this make.

Action

The team will be conducting targeted patrols across the ward of hot spot areas, including high visibility and also plain clothed patrol and giving out crime prevention advice were necessary. The team also speak to owners of vehicles that have been seen to be left unlocked, which is a target for any tempted criminal. The team will be giving at crime prevention advice, at our ‘cuppa with a copper’ events, bike marking events and also via our email contacts as well as our twitter to disseminate the message of crime prevention advice including that in relation to Motor vehicle crime.
