Issue
Aggressive/violent Shoplifting TESCO Violet Road, E3 linked to Drugs/Robbery/Theft from MV and youth congregation in Watts Grove, E3, Yeo Street, E3 linked to drugs related ASB. In vehicles creating excessive noise, doing NOS, smoking and drinking into the early hours of morning
Action
We have conducted patrols (Reassurance/targeted) on all three streets (Watts Grove, knapp Rd and Yeo street).
Knapp Rd – 2 x arrest Arrest 1 = Possession of cannabis/drunk and disorderly.
Arrest 2 = Driving with no insurance.
Youth engagement work with the Linc center. Youth project in the process of being finalised.
Yeo Street – Partnership work with the concierge to identify (Times, people involved) ongoing.
Walk and talk event on the 28/05/24. Partnership work with THEO (Targeted patrols) 30/04/24.
Watts Grove – Targeted patrols at location (Negative results). Linked to Yeo street. Partnership work with THEO (Targeted patrols) 30/04/24.
SNT carried bike marking event in Corsican Square, to reduce bike theft. a total of 40 plus bikes were marked.
Robbery/snatch prevention leaflets handed to members of public.
On going joint patrols with THEOs.
Issue
2. Drug Dealing – Reports of vehicles parking at Hawgood Street E3 to deal drugs (Poss linked to rough sleepers on Bow common lane, Ronnies Scott house) also similar reports regarding Knapp Rd. Vehicles parking at location to deal drugs.
Action
Targeted patrols of the area (Hawgood street/Furze Street/Invicta Close and Ronnies Scott house). Stairwell patrols of the blocks (Axio way). Reports of vehicles and drug dealing have stopped. Street briefing planned for the 10/05/24. Weapons/Paraphernalia sweeps of Furze Green Park.
SNT hand delivered ASB and building tailgating prevention letters to residents of Ronnie’s Scott house for awareness and to prevent ASB and drugs misuse.
SNT has asked Tower Hamlets Enforcement officers to assist with evening patrols around the locations.
Severe weather emergency protocol (SWEP)has been activated by the Council. SNT will be working along side with Street link to support rough sleepers.
Issue
Increased number of Phone snatches/Robberies around the A12 corridor. Bromley-By-Bow underground station underpass, Bow Secondary school underpass and Coventry cross estate. Commuters and Students are being targeted.
Action
Bromley South officers 7159CE and 7178CE conducted safer corridors patrols between Bromley-By-Bow underground station and Bow Secondary school between 1430-1600pm. Officers liaised with Underground staff and school teachers - nothing to report.
Patrol are ongoing, with Tower Hamlets Enforcement officers (THEOs) to prevent Robbery/Snatch and to increase visiblity.

Female officers ‘buddying up’ with women from their communities to go out on patrol in open spaces, to discuss their experiences, concerns and reflections.
