Issue

Seek to reduce the impact of youth related anti-social behaviour, crime and disorder across the City Centre.

Action

This is a new community priority for the ward from speaking to partners. We are working closely with local retailers, businesses, partners and youth outreach teams in the area. Officers are ensuring increased visibility in hotspot locations such as Whitechapel, Holy Corner, St. Johns Gardens and Church Street. The local policing team are also exploring all opportunities to safeguard young people travelling into the City Centre from the wider Liverpool, Merseyside and North West area.

Issue

Seek to reduce the impact of Street Community related anti-social behaviour and disorder across the City Centre.

Action

Operation Clock has been launched across key areas in the City Centre in response to this issue. We are working closely with local retailers, businesses and partners such as the local authority, Adult Services and the Whitechapel Centre. Officers are ensuring increased visibility in hotspot locations such as William Brown Street, Derby Square, Great Charlotte Street and Queens Square. We are requesting for the public to report all incidents and concerns via 101 and the force website, or 999 in an emergency.
