Current Priorities

Issue

Road Safety:
Through our consultation with you we have identified Road Safety (speeding) as being a priority the people of Rutland South want us to address.

Action

The first quarter has seen a focus on Road Safety across the county. We have spent time in Braunston in Rutland, North Luffenham and the South Luffenham crossroads A47. Responsible use of mopeds and low powered motorcycles have been highlighted which links in with ASB Priorities and we will be working to address this concern.

Anti-Social Behaviour
Through our consultation with you we have identified ASB as being a priority the people of Rutland South still want us to address during the second quarter.

Action

During the first quarter the beat team have continued to provide a high visibility presence in previous hotspot areas around the villages. We continue to work closely with our partners to tackle ongoing issues.

Issue

Vehicle Crime
Through consultation with our communities we have highlighted that Vehicle Crime is a continuing issue that you wish us to address in regard to education and crime prevention.

Action

During the first quarter of 2025 reports of vehicle crime on the beat remained low, however both Oakham and Uppingham have had burglaries aim at stealing vehicles.

You are advised to secure your property and car keys before retiring for the night. We have continued to carried out overt proactive patrols across Rutland to prevent vehicle crime and stop any suspicious vehicles out and about overnight around the villages. Crime prevention advice has been sign posted across our social media channels so you can takes steps to safeguard your vehicle.
