Current Priorities

Issue

You have reported on-going issues relating to drug use and associated ASB in and around the Trowell street, Pippa place and Action man road areas. We have engaged with our partners whom you have also shared your concerns with.

Action

We will continue to work with partners, with enforcement operations to be planned to address the reported issues.
This includes proactive measures and work surrounding closure orders of properties causing repeat issues.

We encourage any residents in the area to continue to report issues to us.

We have completed further patrols in the area and are dealing with reports made. We have also requested a joint visit with partners to allow joint interaction and consultation with residents.

Following a joint visit with housing we have investigated reports relating to graffiti and anti social behaviour whilst young persons have been playing football. Any young persons identified have been spoken to by officers.

Following positive action in the area, we have seen a reduction in the reports to us for this area.

Issue

We have received numerous reports from the Belvoir Centre relating to general anti social behaviour from young people who are meeting in large numbers at the shopping centre. This is causing issues to local security and also members of the public using the facilities within the centre.

Action

The safety of all users and staff members at the shopping centre is a priority for the local beat team and we take all reports made to us seriously.

We have conducted a number of patrols in the area, both in conjunction with a focused ASB week and on-going patrols. We are liaising with the management at the centre as well as other partners and are looking at long term solutions to the issue and preventative measures.
Following some proactive measures in the centre including a dispersal order we have seen a reduction in the issues.
We have also worked closely with the security teams within the Belvoir Centre and following a change of contract soon we are looking forward to further improvements in the area.

The area will remain a priority going in to the New Year as we look to put longer standing measures in place in order to engage our youths and divert them from this behaviour.

Issue

You have reported on-going issues with Drugs and ASB in and around the Central Road Hugglescote area which is impacting the local community

Action

We are working with partners to address your concerns and bring long term resolutions to the issues reported. We have further measures planned in order to achieve this.

We encourage the public to continue to work with us and report issues.

We have completed a consultation with local residents and are preparing work with our legal team to look to long term resolutions.

Further evidential statements have been obtained and we continue to work with legal teams to progress this matter.

This matter has now been passed to our legal partners for progression which will hopefully lead to a long term solution.
