The community have stated that ASB is a concern within the Birstall ward.

The community have stated that ASB is a concern within the Birstall ward.
High visibility patrols have continued in areas raised as a concern for ASB. Places highlight have been Birstall services School Lane playing fields. The beat team have engaged with youths at the locations and work continues with services for a joined up approach for a longer term solution.
The team will adjusted their patrols plans to incorporate areas raised as a concern.
Issue
The community have stated that road safety and obstructions are a concern within various locations throughout Birstall, specifically surround primary schools
Action
The beat team continue to monitor concerns regarding speeding and obstructions.
Patrols have taken place around school pick up and drop of times. Advise has been offered to road users as appropriate to encourage safe parking and promote the safety of all involved.
Patrols will continue to take place at key times and the locations highlighted to the team.
Issue
This priority has been created due to a recent increase in residential burglaries within Birstall and surrounding villages
Action
During the last month 4 people have been arrested in connection with offences of burglary and theft from or of motor vehicles
Patrols have continued within the beat by the team and support has continued to be provided from other departments such as traffic and firearms units as well as Charnwood neighbourhood proactive team .
The team will adjusted their patrols plans to incorporate those areas affected to provide reassurance and assist with any enquiries
