Over the last 3 months Burglaries have been highlighted as a community concern.

No reported confirmed breaks at the time of writing.

In the last quarter of 2024 road safety continued to be a issue highlighted across the beat including speeding and parking.

We have had calls about a motorbikes causing ASB on Ridleys Close in Countesthorpe. If you are the parent of a child that has a motorbike please educate your children of the dangers. If you are out and about on a motorbike, please make sure that you are insured and are licensed. We are aware of the issue and would encourage anyone with information that will help us identify the individuals to come forward.

We have noticed that people are still parking on the double yellow lines outside the Bulls Head pub and on the street in Countesthorpe I have spoken to the Council about this, they have organised for you to park at Central Street carpark, moving forward please use this car park. This is available anytime after 6:00 pm daily and all day on a Sunday for you to park there. Leicestershire County Council are carrying out enforcement for vehicles contravening the restrictions.

You may or may not have noticed that PCSO Kirsty has placed parking advise signs up on lampposts down the Main Street in Kilby. This is for all drivers going through or stopping in Kilby. You may have also noticed PCSO Kirsty and PC Jodie were in separate cars in the area at school collection. Can we just say, thank you for keeping the road clear and safe, by parking in the Dog & Gun pub carpark. I’m sure you’ve noticed a difference when crossing the road with your children.
