Current Priorities
Issue
Anti-social behaviour has been highlighted as a priority on the Blaby Whetstone and Cosby beat.
Action
We as the beat team will endeavour to deal with anti-social behaviour in a robust way utilising a multi-agency approach.
Numerous calls were received in relation to youths climbing the Blaby Precinct Christmas Tree and stealing baubles and then throwing them at passing vehicles. Some of the youths have been identified and are being dealt with.
Issue
Nuisance motorcycles have been reported around the Blaby Cosby and Whetstone area.
Action
The beat team will endeavour to work with partners to identify offenders using motorcycles illegally and deal with any offences.
Special constables Tom and Leanna joined PCSO's Calum and Ellis at the Blaby light switch on. It was a very busy but fun evening and we hope all who attended enjoyed the festivities. A number of youths were given warnings for using E-Scooters and for anti-social behaviour. Those whom we spoke to allegedly didn't know the law around E-Scooters so were educated around the current legislation.
Issue
Road safety has been flagged as an issues and encompasses anti social driving in the form of car cruising.
Action
The beat team will continue to monitor car cruise activity and target anti-social driving in the area.
Launching in December on local areas is Operation Flux which is dedicated to tackling local road safety issues. We have already identified some areas that will be targeted but also looking for other local issues such as Speeding, Weight limit breaches, Street racing, E-Scooter use, targeting drink and drug drivers and general Fatal5 issues.
