This is the neighbourhood beat for the village of Enderby, Narborough, New Lubbersthorpe, Littlethorpe and Fosse Park. It is mainly residential but also covers large industrial estates in Enderby & a number of primary & secondary schools.

This neighbourhood beat also consists of the busy Fosse Park retail outlet. Fosse Park has approximately 40 stores and the neighbourhood team have developed close links with security staff to assist in the prevention of thefts and the identification of prolific shoplifters.

Current Priorities

Issue

ASB, specifically verbal abuse and nuisance behaviour, is the issue. McDonalds and Fosse Park in general are being targetted. The perpetrators tend to be youths.

Action

PCSO 6666 Sarah and PCSO 6028 Ryan have been regularly patrolling Fosse Park this month, catching up with local businesses and liaising with security making sure there have been no issues of anti-social behaviour. We have been focusing on deterring the misuse of bikes in the area and shop theft.

Issue

Road safety is a concern for us on the NH20 beat. This involves speeding on the main busy roads and within residential areas, parking around school zones at pick up and drop of time. Inconsiderate parking on corners and in dangerous positions, blocking pavements and causing pedestrians to have to walk on the road and any abandoned vehicles.

Action

PCSO 6592 Danny & PCSO 6641 Calum were called to investigate numerous reports of two Ford Transit vans in Enderby after being told that they both held no tax. After further enquiries it turned out that one was indeed holding no tax but still being driven and the other was SORN (notified off-road), but still being kept ON the road and appearing to be used as an extra large disposal vehicle... Needless to say both were recovered.
we have had reports of abandoned and nuisance vehicles in enderby and Narborough the beat team continue to monitor these reports and deal with any offending vehicle with either S59 notices or seizure , or we contact the relevant agencies to carry out further documentation enquires.
The beat team monitors school parking as and when we can , please report any transport issues on 101 or online.

Issue

Issues of general ASB, neighbour disputes and motorcycle riding through residential areas across the NH20 beat.

Action

The team have been busy with a few ongoing neighbour disputes over noise, fly tipping outside properties and general ASB issues in the areas of Queens Drive , Chapel street and Bradgate close. We have been working closely with our local partner agencies (Environmental team , housing officers ) and have given out warning letters and an ABC and will monitor. Residents in Lubbesthorpe have also reported issues with off road bikes riding on the pavement, we will be patrolling the key areas to try and ID the riders and the offending bikes, if anyone see's anything please report on 101 or online, and if you can provide us with any details of the bikes or riders this will help with our investigation.
We continue to hold beat surgeries every month for the residents to raise any issues or concerns , please look at the Leicestershire website for dates and times to meet your beat team .
