Current Priorities
Issue
Anti-social behaviour and seasonal crime on Victoria Park.
Action
This is a new priority for the April to June period. Look out for updates later this month.
Issue
Anti-social behaviour and drug use in the area of Howard Road.
Action
This is a new priority for the April to June period. Look out for an update later this month.
Issue
The use of e-scooters and e-bikes across Clarendon Park. E-scooters cannot be ridden in any public place (unless part of a government trial, which Leicester are not). Some e-bikes are legal and enjoy the same privileges as pedal cycles, some are too powerful and cannot be ridden in any public place.
Action
We have met with the public in two meetings to discuss this issue in order to get a better understanding on where and when the issue is prevalent. We have recently had a change in internal policy and so the seizure of e-scooters and illegal e-bikes should happen more often as part of daily policing and also specific enforcement operations. We anticipate an increase in the use of these vehicles in spring and so will continue to focus on this issue for another 3 months.
