Drugs – Intelligence
Action
We continue to review and act on drugs intelligence. For operational and data protection reasons we are unable to give specific details of locations / premises or persons that we are currently investigating. We have been working with other agencies to tackle individuals of concern linked to drug misuse. Please also note the below use of the passive drugs dog that yielded positive results.
We ask that you report any concerns around drugs misuse that you have. You may have information that adds to an ongoing concern, and this can really help when we apply for Warrants. You can speak to us at Hornsea Police Station in confidence or alternatively report anonymously via ‘CrimeStoppers’ at https://crimestoppers-uk.org/

Anti-Social Behaviour – Hornsea
Action
Figures taken from Humbertalking surveys suggest that the main concern amongst residents of Hornsea and surrounding villages are around general ASB and road related ASB. We have received numerous reports of dog faeces being thrown from Wittys Passage into gardens on Burton Road. We have spoken to several residents and will patrolling the area by default. We have been liaising with the Council with regards to the relocation of bins. Operation Yellowfin bikes continue to be utilised in the North Holderness area including patrols on the Rail Trail. Further dates are planned for speed checks. Positive enforcement opportunities and S59 warnings will be published on My Community Alert. A free multi-sports initiative has been introduced by detached youth workers and we continue to engage, advertise and sign post young people towards this.

Local Residential Homes - Ongoing liaison
Action
Hornsea officers continue with weekly drop-in sessions to several of our care establishments within the town. A proportion of reported crimes relate to individuals who may be suffering a mental health episode. It is our intention to reduce incidents of reported missing persons and potential offending by engaging with staff and residents at the earliest opportunity.

Operation Yuletide
