Drug dealing/drug use and anti-social behaviour

A number of operations have been carried out on the ward area over the past 2 months to directly combat drugs, and the subsequent anti-social behaviour linked to it. A recent misuse of drugs act warrant carried out resulting in two occupants charged with supply offences. They are currently remanded in custody awaiting trial. We are also working hard alongside Hull City Council to take possession of this property. Another person was recently arrested for supply offences and is currently remanded in custody. He was dealing in the street, predominantly the Buckingham Street area. There has also been a recent arrest which resulted in a charge and the person was remanded to Court which is a positive result.

Following joint patrols and patch walks that have been conducted with Hull City Council and Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, where reassurance and target hardening, and excess rubbish removal have been completed this has prevented opportunities to those committing the offences. In January a suspect was arrested, and this has now been finalised.
Officers are also working jointly with Humberside Fire and Rescue in the identified areas and will continue to be monitored.
