Current Priorities

Issue

Humberside Police have received concerns regarding drug dealing and drug use around the Victor Street and Buckingham Street area.

Action

The Drypool ward continues to proactively target drug dealing activity and continues to execute misuse of drugs act warrants at addresses. We have also managed to 'shut down' 6 properties on the ward by working in partnership with Hull City Council and other housing providers and the back of drugs enforcement, targeting the properties that are allowing this behaviour to occur. There have been a number of arrests with a number of people still remanded in custody either awaiting trial, sentencing or having already been convicted. A female that was recently dealt with as part of county lines dealing, has just been sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment. Most recently, a misuse of drugs act warrant was conducted in the Denaby Court area with drugs founds and the occupants, a male and female are charged with supply offences and currently remanded in custody. We are once again working alongside Hull City Council to try and take back possession of this property.

Issue

Arson on the Drypool Ward Area.

Action

Humberside Police are aware of an increase in Arson over the ward area. We are working closely with our partner agency, Hull City Council and Humberside Fire and Rescue to assist in the prevention of these crimes.
