Issue
Stallingborough Industrial Estate is the location predominantly being targeted for siphoning, and vehicle crime. There have been numerous crimes committed within that area, however it has not just been limited to this area, with other acquisitive crime happening on the outskirts of Immingham & the Docks, in laybys and within Habrough.
Action
Work to date include adapting shift times to enable patrols in the area to challenge persons out at certain times, highlighting this trend with Grimsby patrols, including full briefings, and signing up businesses to the Humberside Police Keyholder list.
Moving forward, the local policing team will continue to adopt a positive approach in terms of high visibility patrols and vehicle and person stop searches within the areas on late shifts.
Officers will engage with the local business community subject to any calls for service regarding this type of crime and offer crime prevention advice, gather any intelligence and ensure they are signed up to the Humberside Police keyholder register.
Issue
Anti-Social Behaviour. There has been an increase in ASB across the town including around the shops on Kennedy Way, and Reed Mere estate, as well as residential areas.
Action
Your community officers regularly patrol the known locations regards ASB and engage with staff and young people at these places.
High visibility patrols will continue to both prevent and identify those persons engaged in ASB. Already, a number of young people have been identified as being involved and local officers are dealing with those through the methods at their disposal.
A derelict house on the Reed Mere estate has been subject to several calls for service. Officers have made contact with the owner, and actions are in place to resolve these issues. Empty/derelict buildings are an attraction for youngsters. If you have issues with people at any such building, please contact the police via 101.
Acceptable Behaviour Contracts have been served on several young people involved in ASB which are being monitored on a very regular basis.
Issue
8 Blair Walk is an empty house which has previously been used as a gathering place for local youths to engage in causing damage, ASB, drug and alcohol taking. Despite being boarded up by the landlord, access was still being gained.
Action
