Current Priorities
Issue
As a result of feedback from the public, officers in Oxhey will be organising monthly engagement events across all wards in the Oxhey area to enable residents to meet local officers and discuss issues of concern.
Action
Officers continue to engage with young people in the community. They regularly organise public engagements that are advertised on social media and through partners.
Issue
Through public feedback and crime statistic analysis local offices will be concentrating on vehicle crime over the next period of review. The months from February to April traditionally see an increase in vehicle crime, mainly around catalytic converter thefts and keyless thefts of motor vehicles. Using hotspot analysis officers will target areas of vulnerability through safer street events and Op Insecure initiatives.

Action
Vehicle crime remains a priority locally with a slight increase since the priority was set. The metrics are in line with previous years with an overall downward trend. Officers are actively reviewing hotspots through policing analyst software and encouraging local residents to join them in being proactive in preventing theft from motor vehicle.
