Issue
Members of the public are reporting ASB nuisance on e-bikes, mopeds and off road motorcycles.
Action
Neighbourhoods Officers have so far conducted two operations in partnership with our colleagues on Roads Policing. On our most recent operation in September, we seized 3 bikes. A stolen moped, a high powered e-bike and stopped a disqualified rider on a motorbike. Those investigations are on going at this time.
Issue
Members of the public have reported drug dealing and ASB with regards to a variety of motorcycles in and around the Thicket and The Warren, Leigh Park.
Action
Relentlessly Pursue Criminals - To tackle this issue where we will utilise our Neighbourhoods Officers and Roads Policing Officers to intercept persons in vehicles, and on foot in and around this estate. This operation resulted in the arrest of a drug driver, a vehicle was seized for no insurance, another summonsed for no insurance and no licence, together with other offences dealt with such as motorists driving without MOT's illegal tinted windows and no seat belts.
Issue
Drug users are meeting in and around the Barncroft and Bedhampton areas of Leigh Park to deal/conceal and take drugs.
Action
An operation was launched on 12/10/23 using officers in both plain clothes and uniformed patrols to target this area. Uniformed patrols were conducted to show a presence and prevent the antisocial use of drugs. One male was found to be in possession of cocaine and dealt with by means of a community resolution. Another male was pursued and his electric bike was left behind. We are aware drug users will use these to get around the estate to deal and take drugs. That person was disrupted and his bike was seized.
