Current Priorities

Issue

Anti-social behaviour and drug dealing in the area. Intelligence gathering work has been completed and work behind the scenes continues.. High visibility patrols continue in the hotspot areas highlighted by the community.

Action

Local Youths that consistently cause ASB in the local area, have been issued ABC contracts and the Team are working with the courts and Youth offending to deter these youths from continuing with their behaviour. Ongoing work continues with these youths both in the prevention and pursue elements of Policing. Local PCSOs have been engaging with them in Football games to deter them from causing ASB in the area, whilst working with Partner Agencies, to issue ABC contracts and injunctions on the most prolific offenders.

Issue

Vulnerable members of the Public living within the local Community, who are persistently contacting Police and local Services, whilst causing concerns for the Community.

Action

The Team have managed with SOLACE ( A partnership operation with Police , the Council and Housing) to get Injunctions granted by the court and issue ABC contracts to those that are causing issues within the local area, whilst working with the Police Vulnerability Team to address the needs of these vulnerable individuals. Work continues and breaches of injunctions are dealt with a.s.a.p. by the Team, to protect the local Community and the individual involved. Ongoing work continues with out partners CBH to help move those vulnerable persons to suitable accommodation.

Issue

The team are focussing on crime prevention for bicycle theft and Burglaries in the area.

Action

Bike Marking Extravaganzas took place in January, to encourage the Community to protect their bikes, so we can identify them if taken. Burglaries, especially theft of Bicycles from Garages has seen a significant increase over the last month and PCSOs continue to carry out local reassurance patrols, carry out House to House enquiries for any evidence opportunities. Community Alerts are being sent out to warn the community when these crimes occur. We recommend that the Community Signs up to the Community Alert Scheme, to be up to date of what is happening in their area. Work behind the scenes continues to deter and solve Acquisitive crime in the area
