Current Priorities
Issue
Anti-social behaviour from youths in the local area, including in the multi use games area. The team continue to carry out patrols, and are working with partners moving forward.
Action
The team are working with the youths that are causing anti-social behaviour and their families. An anti-social behaviour log is up and running and anti-social behaviour contracts (ABCs) have been issued. A parenting contract has also been put in place, and partnership work with Cheltenham Borough Homes is in place for the ABCs. For the most prolific Youths , they have been issued Injunctions from the Court and reports of breaches are collating and put before the court, in conjunction of working with the families. Work is ongoing, however the issuing of ABC's has seen a reduction in ASB in the Community. Ring Door bell has been a great tool in identifying these Youths and PCSO's have been carrying out House to House enquiries to see if there is any video footage. Community Alerts have been sent to the local community for assistance also
Issue
Reports from the Public of issues with parking around School pick up and collection times.
Action
Local Police Community Officers are patrolling at certain times, to deter issues with parking around Schools in the area. They are also working in partnership with the School to look at the long term solution. The beginning of Term has seen an improvement, however work continues throughout term time.
Issue
The team are focussing on crime prevention for bicycle theft and Burglaries in the area.
Action
Bike Marking Extravaganzas took place in January, to encourage the Community to protect their bikes, so we can identify them if taken. Burglaries, especially theft of Bicycles from Garages has seen a significant increase over the last month and PCSOs continue to carry out local reassurance patrols, carry out House to House enquiries for any evidence opportunities. Community Alerts are being sent out to warn the community when these crimes occur. We recommend that the Community Signs up to the Community Alert Scheme, to be up to date of what is happening in their area. Work behind the scenes continues to deter and solve Acquisitive crime in the area
