Current Priorities
Issue
Reduce antisocial behaviour in and around Bush Court.
Action
Work continues within the community and our partners, mainly Cheltenham Borough Homes, who are assisting with the continued work to reduce antisocial behaviour.
Issue
The team is currently focussing on a Neighbour dispute, which members of the Community have concerns about . Intelligence and evidence gathering is ongoing.
Action
Local Team have been working with Cheltenham Borough Homes to negotiate a way forward for the neighbours and the community it is affecting. Reassurance Patrols continue in the area.
Issue
The team are focussing on crime prevention for bicycle theft and Burglaries in the area.
Action
Bike Marking Events continue in the area ( as advertised on our Facebook and X social media pages) and WIDE crime prevention advice leaflets have been distributed in the local area when a Bike theft or Burglary has occurred. This will continue, especially during the Winter months , when it is dark for longer.
Issue
The Team are focussing on providing reassurance and support for those that are vulnerable living in the area. This ranges from dealing with referrals for safeguarding, from ACTION FRAUD ref: online Fraud scammer and also Telephone Scammers to Mental Health and Elderly Members of the Public , particularly those with Dementia, that need Police assistance.
Action
The Local Officers continue to work closely with the Cheltenham Vulnerability Officers and Fraud Department, to carry out safeguarding visits. The Team has Liaison with local GP’s, social care and works with family members to protect those that are the most vulnerable within our Community. Keeping data up to date on those vulnerable living within the area, can assist if concern is raised for these individuals, i.e. they have not been seen for some time, or their mental health is showing signs of decline.
