Vehicles Checks
Over the festive period Cullompton Police, will be carrying out vehicle checks in the local area this will include making sure number plates are clearly visible, ensuring vehicles are road worthy and all documents are in order.
On stopping vehicles Officers will be checking for drink and drug drivers.

Vulnerable persons and County Lines
In Cullompton and surrounding areas we have vulnerable persons who are at risk of being taken advantage of by others.
County lines are where illegal drugs which are transported from one area to another usually by vulnerable persons or children.
We have a priority to protect the most vulnerable members in the community.
We carry out regular safeguarding visits some of which are intelligence led and multi agency working with housing, education and health.

Multi agency meetings attended.
Crime prevention advice given.
Referrals put in place.
Issue
Anti Social Behaviour
Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) is still the focus on Neighbourhood teams across Mid Devon, with some key offenders being dealt with robustly through our early interventions.
ASB causes significant distress and we prioritise dealing with it as swiftly as possible.
Such behaviour includes intimidation, abusive language and public alcohol & drug use.
Our activity:
- Seizing alcohol and drugs
- Using stop and search powers
- Dispersing problem groups
- Identifying and arresting offenders
- Using the ASB escalation powers (in conjunction with partners), to deal with offenders
- Officer are proactively working together across Mid Devon to address these concerns and encourage members of the public to report any ASB.

Neighbourhood team continue to patrol all ASB hot spots, community survey sent to local residents.
Engagement continues with local businesses and school's to prevent ASB.
