Derby city centre consists mainly of retail premises with a few areas containing residential properties.

1.Aggressive begging within the city centre
2. Theft of / damage to bicycles within the City Centre.
3.Criminality and anti-social behaviour associated with the supply of controlled drugs within the community
Action
• Regular meetings with the City Council and Partner agencies, to engage with the homeless community. • Regular updates between both parties, to ensure all parties involved are familiar with the members of the homeless community. • Regular meetings with Milestone House, to keep track of the homeless community. • Multi-agency meetings held and attended every month to discuss concerns and actions taken. • High visibility patrols throughout the city engaging with the public and businesses. • In order to combat anti-social behaviour in the community we will work with partner agencies in order to issue where appropriate Community Protection Warnings / Notices and Criminal Behaviour Orders. • We have also taken robust action against offenders, making arrests at the first opportunity and enforcing strict bail conditions.
• Engaging with the public face to face by utilising the mobile police station to hold streets meets in high footfall areas
• Bike register events to be held by Officers to assist with combating bicycle thefts
