Current Priorities
Issue
1. Drug dealing in Heanor.
2. Nuisance vehicles in Heanor and Langley Mill.
3. Car cruising at Shipley Park.
Action
1. High visibility patrols to be completed to disrupt drug activity and obtain intelligence. Positive action to be taken with consideration given to deploying plain clothed officers to identify drug dealers involved, stop/searches to be completed where grounds are met and execute warrants where appropriate. Safeguard victims identified.
2. High visibility patrols to be completed, advise, educate people found to be riding electric scooters and then enforce by seizing the e-scooters. Deal with all other nuisance vehicles by using our section 59 powers and other policing powers depending what offences are being committed.
3. High visibility patrols to be completed in the location, engage, and educate vehicle owners. Deal with vehicle owners robustly if found to be committing offences, using our PSPO powers.
