Current Priorities

Issue

1. Drug dealing in South Normanton and Pinxton.
2. Anti-Social Behaviour on South Street Park, South Normanton.
3. Anti-Social Behaviour at The Post Mill Centre and Salvation Army, South Normanton.

Action

1. High visibility patrols within the locations to disrupt drug activity. Build intelligence of the drug activity taking place and ensure positive action is taken. Complete stop/searches where grounds are met, deploy plain clothed officers in the area to identify drug dealers. Execute warrants when appropriate and ensure any vulnerable victims are identified and offered suitable support and safeguarding.
2. High visibility patrols to be completed within the location. Work alongside our Youth Engagement Team to engage with these young people, signpost them to positive activities taking place and deliver inputs within schools to educate the young people of the affects anti-social behaviour has on victims. Issue anti-social behaviour letters to young people found engaging in anti-social behaviour, consideration to be given for other suitable disposals such as Immediate Justice or Acceptable Behavioural Contracts.
