Current Priorities
Issue
1. Anti-Social Behaviour in Crich.
2. Nuisance motorbikes in Alfreton.
3. Drug dealing in Alfreton.
Action
1. High visibility patrols within the location. Working alongside our Youth Engagement Team to engage with these young people, signpost them to positive activities taking place within the local area. Issue anti-social behaviour letters to young people found to be engaging in anti-social behaviour, consideration to be given for other suitable disposals such as Immediate Justice or Acceptable Behavioural Contracts.
2. High visibility patrols to take place, work alongside our off-road bike team and utilise our drone capabilities to identify those involved. Ensure positive action is taken against the riders identified, issue section 59 warnings or seize the motorbike under section 165 and deal with any offences the rider is committing where necessary.
3. High visibility patrols within the location to disrupt drug activity. Positive enforcement to take place, with consideration for plain clothes officers to be deployed within the location to identify dealers, carry out stop/searches where the grounds are met. Develop intelligence and execute warrants when appropriate. Offer support and safeguarding to any vulnerable victims identified.
