Action

At this time of year general thefts and burglaries tend to be higher and we would remind people make sure houses, sheds, garages, and vehicles are always locked and valuables are left out of sight. Also, with it being such a rural location, it means we are reliant on the public reporting any suspicious activity at the time by calling 999 if occurring then, otherwise report online or by calling 101. Do not hesitate in calling police if you see anything you feel is suspicious. Although low, drug dealing is still an issue on the estate. The Safer Neighbourhood Team have over the last few months executed a number of drug warrants. We encourage you to report anything of this nature to the police or should you wish to remain anonymous to please use Crimestoppers, you can also report anything of this nature to the local housing office. The Safer Neighbourhood Team continue to patrol the area and will use any intel we receive to target hotspot areas. Feedback we have received is problems with off-road motorbikes on both the roads and across the countryside off-road. They are visiting sometimes in large groups speeding and driving dangerously along roads and bridleways causing upset to residents and damage to land. We as a team are looking at addressing this problem alongside all other road related issues.
