Current Priorities

Issue

1. Burglary And Theft .
2. Speeding , Road Safety And Parking Issues
3. School Parking

Action

1.At this time of year general thefts and burglaries tend to be higher and we would remind people make sure houses, sheds, garages, and vehicles are always locked and valuables are left out of sight. Also, with it being such a rural location, it means we are reliant on the public reporting any suspicious activity at the time by calling 999 if occurring then, otherwise report online or by calling 101. Do not hesitate in calling police if you see anything you feel is suspicious.
2.We are encouraging locals to start a Community Speed Watch scheme in their area to help tackle the issue. Community Speed Watch is a scheme run by volunteers in communities where speeding and road safety is a concern. If you are interest in signing up, please contact your local Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) or contact the Speed Watch team by email: [email protected]
3.Parking Concerns have been raised recently about the parking in and around all our local schools and in certain residential areas We as a team are looking at educating motorists and will be patrolling in the areas at the relevant times. We would encourage anyone who is wanting to report illegal parking to the councils Civil Parking Enforcement Team who are responsible for most parking offences like double yellow lines. You can do this by calling Call Derbyshire on 01629533190.
