Killamarsh is a small town, populated by almost 10,000 people, situated in the east of Chesterfield division, close to the South Yorkshire border, within 6 miles from Sheffield centre. The town grew mainly as a result of the mining industry, although the last mine (Highmoor) closed shortly after the end of the 1984/5 miners strike. The town has a parish council based in the centre of the town.

· High visibility patrols to prevent drug dealing/taking in premises. · Work with Partnership Agencies to gather/develop intelligence. · Take positive action against drug use and dealing in the area using recent intelligence. · Gather intelligence from the community at events such as Community Catch Up. · Promote Derbyshire Talking Surveys and Derbyshire Alert sign-ups, with victims of crime and neighbours effected.
